I have heard it said that Scripture is God's love letter. I opened it today with that thought in mind.
The following is what unfolded....
'Here I stand, knocking at the door. If anyone hears Me calling and opens the door, I will enter his house and have supper with him, and he with Me.'(Revelation 3:20)'I am the Alpha and the Omega, the One Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty!' 'I Myself am the bread of life. No one who comes to Me shall ever be hungry, no one who believes in Me shall ever thirst.' (John 6:35)
'I am the true vine.' (John 15:1)
'I am the good shepherd.' (John 10:14)
'I am the resurrection and the life.' (John 11:25)
'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.' (John 14:6)
'And you, Who do you say that I am?...' (Mark 8:29)

Wonderful Scriptures you chose. I am reading the devotionals in Jesus Calling, which also has your idea of Jesus speaking to us.

DeleteThis was beautiful, Nancy. I have known these past few short years that he calls me. More than I've ever known in my entire life. He keeps tugging on me and I have no choice but to follow. I marvel so much at this. Why me, I think sometimes. Those years long ago when I thought I was a Christian were just floundering around trying to touch God. And now he constantly touches me and I am amazed.
