Gaudete Sunday is a special time for me. 40+ years ago I became a Christian and each week I visited a different church, searching for the one that God was calling me to. I had only been a believer for a couple months. The sight of an elderly priest in rose colored robes captivated me. My first visit convinced me I had found what I was seeking. The following Easter I entered the Catholic Church. Each Gaudete Sunday reminds me of how much God loves us in a special way.
