'From this day forward, my heart wears a habit.
Hidden from the prying eyes of men, my habit is for His eyes alone.'

Love this! Nancy, I didn't know you wrote a book! Is it for sale? Have you written about it here before?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anne. The book was first put together back in 1996! It is essentially an expanded version of an article I did on the Cloistered Heart (published in Review for Religious magazine in 1993). There is a picture and Amazon link on this blog sidebar.. which is this link

The "Cloistered Heart" has been a blog for nearly 3 years now, but the analogy and ideas have been developing since around 1985, primarily "taking off" around 1990. Thanks be to God! For me, it is a definite way of life.
When I read this passage in your precious book, Nancy...my heart made a little leap and said "Here is someone like me!" Years ago, during a time of life-changing commitment, the Lord spoke these words into my heart, "Wear plain clothes..nothing ostentacious to draw the attention of others..only seek the Beloved Spouse's admiration and approval." I feel I understand you when you say "..my habit is for His eyes alone." xx
ReplyDeleteI love knowing that, on opposite sides of the planet from each other, there are people like you and me saying "there is someone like me!" It is a gift and a blessing from God.
